Sacred Heart of Jesus, please help me to understand the nothingness of this world and the enormity of eternity. I fear that I too often look for contentment here in this life rather than the next. If I were content here on earth, I would never long for my true home in heaven. Please help me to be a stranger upon this earth; to be in the world but not of the world. Please help me to live this life as Thy saints. Please help me to use, enjoy, and seek the things of this life only insofar as they lead me closer to You.
