O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I firmly believe that all things are possible to Thee. I wish to offer Thee some small form of reparation in order to comfort and console Thy suffering Sacred Heart, but it seems to me that it would take a very great miracle for a Divine Heart to be comforted in any way by the sinful heart of a pathetic creature. How else can this be possible except by a miracle of condescension? I do not understand it, but Thou hast pleaded for comfort and consolation from the hearts of men. I know that Thou canst do all things, and so I humbly attempt to offer Thee what I can. If Thou canst work a miracle and permit Thy Sacred Heart to be comforted in some small way by my offering, then please do this thing!
I lament the fact that Thou art so mistreated by mankind – most of all by my sinful self. I offer Thee my poor heart as a safe haven of refuge where Thou canst retire and repose for at least a few moments without fear of receiving offence or injury. I’m not sure what Thou will find in my heart, but if there is anything therein that is pleasing to Thee, I freely offer it to Thee through the Immaculate and Sorrowful Heart of Mary, Thy Mother! All for Thee, most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
