O Sacred Heart of Jesus, please help me to always genuflect in a manner most pleasing to Thee. In the Blessed Sacrament, I have what all of the prophets, patriarchs, and holy souls of the Old Testament desired to see for thousands of years. I have It practically in my backyard, available for visiting any time of day or night. You are there in the Blessed Sacrament, a prisoner of love, waiting for me to come before Thee so that Thou canst shower me with Thy graces and blessings. So I come to Thee, O my Jesus, and I bow my knee before Thee. I acknowledge Thee as the Lord of heaven and earth, and I humbly acknowledge my own nothingness. Thou art a king, my king, and I am Thy servant – a wicked and unprofitable servant – always belonging to Thee. I adore Thee and I worship Thee as my Lord and my God. Please accept this humble genuflection as a token of my fear of Thy great majesty, but also as a sign of my filial love and reverence for Thee. I love Thee, O my good Jesus, and I humbly beg of Thee not to let me depart from this visit until I love Thee more.
