O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I congratulate Thee on this happy day. Even now, at this early hour of the morning, Thou art surrounded by Thy faithful chosen ones. Hundreds of souls have made the happy journey to come and visit You this morning while participating in the Holy Sacrifice which Thou dost offer to Thy Father. They come out of love for Thee in order to comfort and console Thee and to petition Thee. They come to adore Thee, and thank Thee, and make reparation to Thee. How pleased Thou must be with their love! How happy I am for Thee, O my Jesus, that Thou art thus loved.
So often throughout the week Thou art alone in Thy tabernacle. Thou dost never sleep or grow weary, but art always loving us and patiently waiting for a return of love to be made to Thee. How pleasing to Thee must each Sunday be when Thy church is filled for Thy Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
I pray that all those who enter into the church this day treat Thee with all respect, reverence, and devotion. I pray that all Thy faithful people attend Thy Holy Sacrifice and receive Thee in Holy Communion worthily. I pray that Thy Sacred Heart receives some comfort and consolation this day from the many acts of love which are made to Thee. I hope that Thy mercy is drawn down upon the whole human race, and I hope that Thou dost love me forever, O my Jesus, for offering this poor prayer to Thee.
