Something I think going on in society: God has permitted Satan to have his way with the world for a while, and one of the devil’s primary goals is the destruction of human life. He hates human life and wants it destroyed. And he has possessed many willing human agents to assist him in his demonic cause.
If this were the case, Satan would do everything in his power to corrupt the marriage act – the very source of human life itself. He would twist and pervert the act in such a way that it was no longer capable of producing human life. Thus all of the sexual perversion we see flooding our culture at every turn. I hesitate, for prudence’s sake, to give any examples, but it is clear that the goal of all this perversion is to make a mockery of the life-giving act and permit it to accomplish anything but its intended purpose.
If life is still conceived, Satan is anxious to have it eliminated as soon as possible – even if it is still in the womb…
This takes care of any future life, but what to do with all the present life? Poison it. I think Satan himself is directly behind the poisoning of the air we breathe, the poisoning of the food we eat, and the poisoning of the water we drink. Toxic and deadly chemicals pervade every aspect of our daily lives. And when we become sick from all of this poison, we have fake doctors waiting to prescribe us fake medications that purposely perpetuate and exacerbate the sickness. Satan and his minions are trying to poison and kill as much human life as God will permit.
Satan is also a big fan of violence. He rejoices to see us destroy each other’s lives and accomplish his work for him. He wants us to become desensitized to violence, gore, and death. Look at the entertainment we consume today and see the explosion of the almost incomprehensible violence which inundates it. These scenes had to be dreamed up in hell itself. Those who regularly consume them are going to come to view the destruction of human life as a perfectly natural and normal part of everyday life. They will see nothing wrong or out of the ordinary with Satan’s diabolical work of depriving us of our physical lives – they will even willingly cooperate with him. An ever-growing number will be motivated by Satan to cut out any middleman and take their own lives. Again, the devil is aiming for the destruction of human life.
Something else I think that needs to be mentioned in this discussion is the growth of Islam. If Satan desires the destruction of human life, why has he permitted the Muslim population such explosive growth? While the real and even nominal Christian population has been disappearing, the Muslim population has been replacing them in almost every nation on earth. I believe this is because Islam is the chosen religion of the devil. Muslims are Satan’s army doing Satan’s work. Their religion of violence, hatred, and death coincides perfectly with Satan’s goal. He is raising up his army to do his work, but, like all evil dictators, he will dispose of them when they have served his evil purpose.
That’s the problem, what’s the solution? I think I am a very practical person, so it always bothers me when someone spends all of their time and energy outlining a problem without offering any solution or call to action. Maybe this is an oversimplification resulting from my simple mind, but it seems to me that Satan will be much less motivated to end our physical life if we have the Divine Life in our souls. As much as he desires the destruction of human life, he desires the destruction of the Divine Life in our souls to an infinitely greater degree. So maybe if we all lived and grew in the state of Sanctifying Grace we would see a tremendous decrease in the physical death and destruction currently plaguing the world. Maybe an army of saints with the very Life of God thriving in their souls could easily defeat the diabolical designs of the devil. Why don’t we quit cooperating with him and furthering his kingdom of death and destruction? I think Satan’s agents in this world have rejected their Father in heaven and instead chosen as their father the father of lies in hell. They are perseveringly praying a perverted Our Father to the devil and asking him that his diabolical kingdom come. Their rejected Father in heaven is permitting their prayer to be answered. Isn’t it time that the true children of the light, the children of God, pray to Our Father in heaven and ask that His kingdom come instead?
