Silence & Noise

prayer-warrior

How long can you sit in silence with nothing but your own thoughts? If the answer is not very long, there’s a problem.

Silence is when our conscience speaks the loudest, and many of us do not like what it has to say. So we drown it out with noise–we ignore the problems and suppress our conscience.

But what if, instead of ignoring the things that cause us guilt, we actually confronted them? What if we took up our armor and manfully rode into battle? Is this not the only way to tackle problems–head on?

Silence should be our best friend, and we should seek it out every chance we get. Listen to your conscience and follow its promptings. Instead of drowning out our guilt with the noise of the world, let’s rise up and fight like the good soldiers we are meant to be.
