Perhaps it is purely a coincidence, but the American system of government is striking similar to the Divine system of government–the Blessed Trinity. Three separate yet equal branches in our government; three separate yet equal persons in the Blessed Trinity. One could even go a little farther by noting that the legislative branch has two houses, Congress and the House of Representatives; while the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity has two natures, God and man. Now this is nothing more than a mere observation, yet the similarity is intriguing. One cannot help but wonder if our founders took these similarities into consideration when originally forming the American government. If nothing else, we could use this little observation to help us have greater respect for our beautiful American system. As has been noted before, our Government is a beautiful thing.
