In the wake of every Islamic terrorist attack, conservatives the world over avow the need for border security. If only we secured our country’s borders, they say, these terrorist attacks would never have happened. If only we refused to admit the refugees, they say, these terrorist attacks would never have happened.
Now there are certainly myriad reasons to secure the borders of our country and keep out refugees, but this is only a short-term solution. The diabolical ideology of Islam is what causes terrorist attacks, and ideas are not contained by borders. If any honest person wishes to prevent terrorist attacks, he must call for a universal embracing of Islam’s only antidote, Christianity.
